Sweater – Dynamite (similar)
Skirt – AEO (similar)
Choker – Forever 21
Winter is slowly approaching and we all tend to run straight to pants and long skirts or dresses to keep ourselves warm. I’m often guilty of that when the snow flies. My solution these days is finding alternative pieces that are cold-weather worthy. This black suede skirt is just that. Yes, it’s on the shorter side, but the material is slightly thicker and when paired with OTK boots you have more coverage. The brushed metal buttons add such detail and make it easy to take on and off. Basically, it’s a tear away skirt! Do you guys remember tear away pants from years back? They were sporty pants everyone was wearing for sports such as soccer, baseball etc. Anyways I’m dating myself here lol, but it’s fun to reminisce about fashion from previous decades.
My favorite detail of this skirt is the scalloped edge. It’s so pretty and makes it a little different from others. This suede skirt I found unexpectedly in the clearance section at AEO and my daughter insisted I try it on. Thank goodness I did because it was a perfect fit.
I knew I wanted to keep the look geared to colder weather and wear it with a sweater. I had looked in a few stores but hadn’t found the perfect one. Searching in my wardrobe I pulled out this cream studded sweater from Dynamite. It’s one of those sweaters I bought a long time ago and had probably worn once or twice. It got pushed to the back and forgotten for quite some time. Since I cannot link this exact one, I have chosen a similar style that I’m loving right now.
Finding items and re-wearing them is so fun. You can get the most out of your clothes if you just look at them in a different way.
To complete this look I added my black OTK boots and lace choker.
