We all love the little black dress aka LBD! It looks fantastic on everyone no matter what age or style; you just can’t go wrong!  We are well into fall now and I’m looking ahead to the cold winter months (I live in Canada so you know we get snow) and I really want to be able to transition my dresses along with the seasonal change.

I chose this black dress because it’s so versatile.  I have worn it with sandals and flats in the past, but I want more coverage when the temperature dips.  A black dress is a blank canvas so that gets me excited to play with statement jewelry and accessories.  I’m a girl that walks into any store and is immediately drawn to the area that sparkles with new earrings and necklaces.  Let’s just say my jewelry box is more than over flowing!

For this dress I chose some fabulous gold fringe earrings that are still in stores now at H&M!!  Because these earrings are so bling, I don’t need a necklace or bracelet to make this look work.  However, I always wear rings and I kept it simple and pretty with a stone set also from H&M.

It’s always nice to add a little color when you can.  I do tend to gravitate towards black for winter, but when I do, I make sure there’s a stand out piece to go with it.  The burgundy fringe bag steals the show here.  The fringe is so fun and gives a little edge. If you follow my blog or on Instagram, you will know that the burgundy/wine color is my favorite right now.  I’m incorporating it into a lot of my outfits at the moment.

Last but not least the OTK black suede boots!! They are what you need right now, you will be on trend and warm at the same time!  Wearing these you can get away with a shorter dress but not feel too exposed.  A lot of us are Moms and we need to keep it classy!

How do you style your LBD for the cooler months? Let me know in the comments!

We are half way to the weekend lovelies!

XO
