Okay everyone tell me about your Christmas?! Was it amazing, crazy, fun, and exciting? All the above? Same here. The best part is watching my daughter’s excitement over everything this holiday season. From the family time, the delicious food and of course the presents from Santa, she is one happy little girl. We don’t do a lot of travelling; our families live close by which makes it easier. BUT, the weather has been so cold that even the short car ride requires me to bundle up in my warm parka!! A parka is essential when living in this climate.
I didn’t head to any stores on Boxing day, but we are checking some places out for Boxing week sales. A must is to check out Aritzia, and maybe you can score this TNA jacket because it’s on sale! I purchased this parka a few years ago (they still carry this exact one) and it’s been nothing but super warm. It’s goose down filled and the hood is lined, plus the fur trim keeps the snow and cold off my face. What I really like about this coat is it’s fitted. I’m not into wearing anything too bulky or puffy. I can still fit large sweaters under this jacket too, win win!! I’m wearing an extra small to give you an idea of sizing.
This year I found a comfy and warm knitted hat 0n sale from Joe Fresh. The pom pom on top is the cutest!! I need a hat like this to brave our wintery days. I chose the cream color to match with anything I decide to wear.
The Talula mittens were a Christmas gift last year from my hubby, and they are also from Aritzia and on sale now. Lined and a cozy knit, perfect to keep my fingers warm.
If I’m playing in the snow with my daughter, I clearly need some furry winter boots, but usually I’m running errands or shopping, so my favorite brown leather Steve Madden boots (also on sale) are my go-to. They keep me warm enough for these activities. I make sure to spray them to protect the soft leather.
Of course I’m wearing a pair of my comfortable distressed jeans, I basically live in them.
Staying cozy and warm is key this winter!! But seriously, if you need a parka I recommend this TNA one!!
