I have done a few style posts featuring animal print accessories and/or shoes, but they weren’t really the focal point, just a fun way to further accentuate a look. To be honest, I’m not normally a huge wearer of this print, BUT when I find the right piece I go for it. In this case, a gray leopard cardigan was calling my name. Oh, and it was also on sale so I didn’t even think twice.
I don’t know about you, but rarely do I button up a cardigan. It’s meant to be open is it not? Otherwise, it’s just a regular pullover. The underneath layer is one of two things; a tank top or tee (usually white.) V-necks are my thing, they are flattering and elongate the neck. You could add a necklace to this as well, but I think the leopard is making its own statement.
When putting together this look, I was struggling with, do I wear a skirt or stick with pants? Mostly because it was freezing outside and I knew I was not doing an indoor photo shoot. Outdoors with natural sunlight, you can’t get any better than that. Every time I plan a photo session, I check the forecast and pray for a beautiful day and it turned out perfectly with blue skies!
So clearly, I was brave and stuck with the faux leather skirt and I’m so glad I did. I love the A-line skater style and it’s not too short. The over the knee boots were a must to complete the look. I think this is fun and flirty but still modest enough.
Make this outfit work appropriate, by switching up the skirt and adding sleek black dress pants. After work happy hour? You will be ready for that too!
Let’s discuss the weekend…. what did you get up to? Mine was filled with dance practice and kid’s birthday parties. Yes, they have already begun. My daughter, of course, loves every minute and I’m like…. is it over yet lol? She is still very young so I stick around and wait it out. Really, that’s all I have to report! #momlife
