Is everyone enjoying their long weekend? What have you been up to? We have done some family get togethers and preparations for back to school! Tomorrow is the big day of Sr. Kindergarten for my girl, she’s excited to head back to see her friends and do all the fun things that kindergarten offers.  I still can’t believe she’s in her second year of school and she’s five – where has the time gone?? Typical Mom statement isn’t it? Yet so true!! Okay let’s talk about the dress now….

OPTION #1

I love to go out for a nice lunch or dinner with family or friends and I had an idea that I can wear my cute black dress (similar) two different ways!  Depending on the plan and location of the day I have options!  I love the flouncy ruffle on this dress it’s so cute.  I wanted to add a statement necklace from Joe Fresh (similar) because for one, I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet, and two it’s all I needed to take this dress up a notch and give it that wow factor.  I finished the look with my Steve Madden (similar) black strappy heels – classic and simple.  I’m ready for a night out in the city!

 OPTION #2

Sometimes a dress isn’t practical, so I decided to tuck it in and pretend it’s a top!!  It works right? I think so!  The material is thin and light so it isn’t too bulky in my cropped white jeans (similar).  Yes, I’m still wearing them now because the weather is hot – I’m holding on to summer even though it’s September.  This was such an easy change just throwing on some denim for an entirely different look.  It’s time to start re-purposing items in our closet to make the most out of our clothing!
