Apple picking is becoming a fall tradition for my little family.  We started taking my daughter when she was three years old and right away she fell in love with it.  She can run free in the orchard and what kid doesn’t love that??  The excitement to pick the apples from the tops of the trees is what she craves.  Daddy is always right there to help out, because now that she’s five, too heavy for Mommy to lift over my head!  I can’t believe she’s half my height already…..tear…

We headed to a local farm with my daughters friend this time, and they had a blast!  Watching them enjoy the sunny farm life was definitely worth it.  Our favorite apples are Royal Gala, but of course there are others to choose from!  We ended up filling the apple bag to the top.  I get so excited to eat them, I’m an apple lover and I usually have one everyday topped with some peanut butter. Yum!  I think I need some apple recipes so I can bake a tasty snack.  Any fave ones you would like to share? Send me message!

On the farm, there is a play area, hay rides, pumpkin launches,  and more to enjoy.  One of my favorite areas is the market, with the scent of freshly baked pies and yummy treats, I had to buy something!  I chose their butter tarts, they are to die for! Seriously the pastry is amazing, my hubby and I couldn’t resist eating one on the way home.

Lastly, let’s not forget the fashion here! Before heading to the farm I needed to choose something cute to wear.  I knew jeans and boots were an obvious choice for the occasion.  The sweater I love and have worn it a million times.  It’s just easy and goes with everything, as does the white tee underneath.  The brown slouchy boots I have literally worn them out to the point that the soles are thin, lol but hey I can’t stop!

The apple picking and family fun outdoors is a must each year.  How do you and your family celebrate fall?
