It’s that time of year again! Our anniversary (12 years now) is this weekend but we celebrated a few days early. It just so happened one of our favorite country artists Brad Paisley was performing in Toronto and we made sure to get some good seats. We attend his concert every year, but this one fell near our anniversary so we wanted to make the most of it. We, unfortunately, didn’t get a good photo of us together except for this selfie but it’s still cute right?! Lol…
The first thing was to book a fabulous hotel. The obvious choice for us was the Trump Toronto, we had recently stayed there and loved it. **Side note – I’m not endorsing the actual Mr. Trump he does not have ownership of this hotel.** The rooms are stunning, the service is fantastic and I really have no complaints! I highly recommend checking it out for you next visit to Toronto, you won’t be disappointed! Also, I must add that their popcorn is so delicious….to my surprise a bowl of it was delivered to our room when we arrived and let me tell you I was a happy girl! You can find the tasty kernels served in the bar lounge of their America restaurant which is also gorgeous!
To begin our fun afternoon/evening out we headed to Amsterdam Brewhouse right on the waterfront. We really enjoy it there, especially in the summer. They have a fantastic double level patio and ice cold drinks. My favorite dish to order is the Margherita pizza it’s delicious, and the views while dining are excellent. You can watch the planes take off from the airport and relax while watching the boats sail by. Oh and this location is a fairly close cab ride to the concert venue!

After a couple cocktails, it was concert time! I always make sure I’m there for the opening acts especially Tyler Farr and Maddie & Tae they are great country artists. My hubby and I love concerts and have been to more than we can count or even remember. We have a love for music in all genres, from rock, pop, alternative, hip-hop and of course country!! I have to say country concerts hit the top of our list, they are just so fun and a good time is guaranteed. I think we’ve seen Brad Paisley at least 5 times already and we don’t plan on stopping. Basically, dinner and live music is our perfect date!
The concert was at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. This venue is wonderful, you’re outside and it’s not overly huge which means you’re closer to the action. As always the show was fantastic and a ton of fun. I think we sang along to every song and just enjoyed every moment.
Can’t we all agree there’s nothing better than being with the guy you’re meant to be with, who is your best friend and someone you can always count on. I have the best time with my hubby no matter what we do and I’m so grateful! We have been a couple since high school and married in our twenties. We have the most wonderful daughter who we are beyond proud of! Sometimes we still can’t believe we are parents to such an amazing little person. Sounds cliche but it’s the best job in the world!
Now that our fun night is over we have the weekend to look forward to! Maybe you have a date coming up? What does your perfect date look like?
